New Delhi, February 10: In a landmark event “Viksit Bharat Viksit Gujarat” for Gujarat and rural India as a whole, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today virtually inaugurated 24,184 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural (PMAY-R) and other housing schemes. The total cost of these houses stands at a staggering Rs 1,411 crore, transforming the lives of countless families across the state.

Addressing the beneficiaries through video conferencing, PM Modi congratulated Gujarat on successfully hosting the 20th Vibrant Gujarat Summit and highlighted its commitment to development. The Prime Minister also shed light on the recently concluded Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative aimed at mobilizing public support for development. He proudly declared that due to such government efforts, a remarkable 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the past decade. He credited these individuals for actively participating in government schemes and defeating poverty through their own determination.
