New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu address the Parliament ahead of Budget Session
President Droupadi Murmu arrived in a buggy at the Parliament House to deliver her address to the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
The president Droupadi Murmu entered the House with the ‘sengol’ being carried in front of her.
Tomorrow on February 1, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the financial year 2024-25. This is the last budget of the BJP government at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This year’s budget is ‘interim’ in nature as the government is set to face general elections in April-May this year. The incoming government will present the full budget in July. In India, the financial year starts on 1 April and ends on 31 March of the following year.

President Draupadi Murmu said that this is his first speech in the new Parliament, he hopes that there will be many positive discussions here.
