New Delhi: Mallikarjun Kharge said that if Modi wins the 2024 elections, then there will be no elections in the country after that.
Taking a jibe at leaders leaving the party or alliance, he said, “Hey! Will this country survive if
such fearful people remain? Will this Constitution survive? Will this democracy survive?
Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the Congress workers conference in Bhubaneswar, said:
The Congress President has also made allegations while referring to the presidential elections to be held in Russia under the rule of Vladimir Putin.
Kharge said, “This is the last chance to vote. After this no one will vote. The same thing will
happen if Putin gets elected as president in Russia. No elections after this.”
He said that the responsibility of protecting the Constitution, protecting democracy and holding
elections again and again is on you. If you want, democracy will survive, otherwise it will not.

Mallikarjun Kharge, without taking the name of Nitish Kumar, mentioned his leaving the India alliance and joining the NDA.
“Whether you accept it or not, one of our leaders from India left yesterday. He was taken away from us. The functioning of the present government includes sending notices to leaders one after the other, spreading terror and issuing threats. Individuals are abandoning friendships,
alliances and parties due to fear. The question arises: Will the country, democracy or the
Constitution be saved by the persistence of so many cowards?” He asked.
“This is the last chance for the people to vote decisively. After this, no further voting will be
possible as no further elections will be held. The elections will be similar to the election of
Russian President Vladimir Putin. They will run the government on the basis of accumulated authority and will return to power. They will get 200 seats, 300 and 400. They will increase the number of seats by more than 600,” the Congress chief said.
“It is the responsibility of the people to protect the Constitution and democracy and ensure that elections are held regularly. The existence of democracy is in the hands of the people. If you want, democracy will continue. However, if you choose to remain submissive, that decision is up to you,” he told Congress workers.
Mr Kharge commented, “We governed with love, by embracing each other. The progress in education, health, industry and establishment of various visible institutions today can be attributed to the contribution of Congress. It seems that the present government takes pleasure
in creating discord and conflict among the people.
Launching a strong attack on the BJD government, the Congress President said, ‘Former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik was close to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He was following the
ideology of Nehruji. He was the Patnaik of the past. But, today’s Patnaik (Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik) is following the ideology of BJP.
He alleged that BJP and BJD are in an undeclared alliance for a long time whose aim is to loot money by selling mineral resources.
