New Delhi, February 20 2024: Despite playing pivotal roles in securing victory for the BJP in the recent assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Vasundhara Raje were not chosen for the chief ministerial positions. This decision came as a surprise, given their significant contributions to the party’s success in reclaiming power in their respective states. Despite their proven track records and popularity among party members, both Chouhan and Raje were sidelined in the selection process for chief minister, raising questions about the party’s decision-making and their future roles within the BJP.
Kejriwal’s remarks came during a gathering where he was accompanied by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. He emphasized the importance of stopping the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and abolishing Section 45 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to curb political migrations to the BJP.

The narrative also sheds light on the political landscape in Punjab, where AAP and the Congress have decided to contest elections separately. Despite ongoing discussions between AAP and the Congress regarding a possible alliance in Delhi for the Lok Sabha polls, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has firmly stated that AAP will not form a coalition with the Congress in the state, expressing confidence in winning all 13 seats independently.
Furthermore, tensions between AAP and the Congress over seat-sharing in Delhi have been evident, with AAP offering only one seat to the Congress despite both parties being part of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). This friction was highlighted by AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak’s recent statement affirming the party’s willingness to allocate just one seat to the Congress in Delhi.
Overall, the situation in INDIA alliance is a complex political landscape marked by potential realignments, power struggles, and alliance negotiations, particularly in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Delhi, as parties prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
