Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said on the first list of Congress for Lok Sabha elections that in his party, names come from the districts, which are considered in the State Congress Committee and then the Central Election Committee takes the final decision on the names.
According to the news of BBC Hindi, Jairam Ramesh accused BJP that only two people take decisions there. He targeted the incident of two candidates of BJP first list withdrawing their names later.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “It’s a strong list. There will be more lists. We release lists according to a set procedure, unlike the BJP where two people decide. Their (BJP) candidate from Asansol was changed and a similar thing happened in UP.”
