New Delhi: The farmers’ movement has entered its fifth day, the farmers are still standing at the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana. The conflict between police and farmers continues.
Till now three rounds of talks have taken place between the farmers and the government, the fourth round of talks will be held tomorrow on Sunday between the farmers and the government. Till now no solution has been found in three rounds of talks.

According to BBC news, Davinder’s family members say that he suffered a serious injury on his left eye during the farmers’ protest on 13 February, due to which one of his eyes has been damaged.
22-year-old Davinder was first taken to the local civil hospital in Patiala district and then referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh. According to the news, Davinder underwent eye surgery on February 15 and his left eye was removed.
Davinder’s father said, “My son did not go abroad because he wanted to stay in Punjab and along with farming, he was also preparing for a government job. Davinder had also actively participated in the farmers’ movement two years ago.
Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balvi Singh, while talking to the media, said that at least three farmers have lost their eyesight, one of them was admitted to the government hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh.
Patiala Deputy Commissioner while talking to BBC said that till February 15, about 74 farmers were injured, out of which about 12 farmers were seriously injured. The injured are being treated at Rajpura City Civil Hospital and Government Rajendra Hospital, Patiala.
Like Davinder, many other farmers have been injured in the farmers’ movement so far.
Meanwhile, Punjab Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwa visited Rajindra Hospital in Patiala and inquired about the condition of the farmers. After seeing the injured farmers, Kultar Singh Sandhwa while talking to the media said that the Central Government is running away from its promise to implement the Swaminathan Commission report. All the demands of the farmers are legitimate and should be fulfilled soon. He has criticized the Haryana government for stopping the farmers of Punjab at the border.
Central government ministers under the leadership of Government of India minister Piyush Goyal are talking to farmer leaders for a solution. The next meeting with farmer leaders will be held in Chandigarh on Sunday. Earlier meetings held with the Union Minister and farmer leaders have yielded no results.
