According to Power Minister Atishi, the Cabinet has given its nod to the new Delhi Governments Solar Policy 2024, expected to be officially announced within 10 days. Kejriwal noted that the Delhi government’s 2016 policy facilitated the installation of more than 250 MW of rooftop solar plants and approximately 1,250 MW of utility-scale solar plants, reaching a combined total of 1,500 MW. This accounts for 7.2% of Delhi’s annual electricity requirements.
