New Delhi: Uddhav faction leader and former councilor Abhishek Ghosalkar was shot dead in Dahisar area of Mumbai on Thursday night, 8 February.
The attacker has been identified as Morris Noronha. Abhishek was discussing on Facebook Live, during which he was shot dead, after which the accused also committed suicide by shooting himself four times. The video of this incident has also surfaced.
There were some fights between Abhishek and Morris, due to which they did not get along well. But it is said that an agreement was reached between the two some time ago, only after Abhishek came to Morris on his call and both of them were seen together on Facebook Live. During Facebook Live, Abhishek had also said that people will be surprised to see us together. It was during this Facebook Live that Morris shot Abhishek and later shot and killed himself. According to reports, Morris had fired at Abhishek with his security guard’s gun.
After this incident the politics of Maharashtra has heated up.

Several senior political leaders described the murder of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Abhishek Ghosalkar as ‘unfortunate’.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “It’s saddening news that a youth leader was murdered. No one should politicize this incident.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has demanded Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ resignation over Ghosalkar’s murder. He said, “Abhishek Ghosalkar had been a councilor. The way he was killed in Mumbai, it is a serious issue. There is ‘gundaraj’, ‘mafiaraj’ in Maharashtra. This ‘mafiaraj’ has the blessings of the Shinde government. Where is Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis?”

The incident took place days after a BJP MLA was caught on camera firing at an Eknath Shinde faction leader inside a police station at Ulhasnagar.
Due to which the opposition is continuously raising questions regarding law and order in the state.
