New Delhi: Today, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demonstrated in Delhi on the issue of Chandigarh Mayor elections. Arvind Kejriwal while addressing his workers said, “What has happened in
Chandigarh elections is very shameful.”
Many senior AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant participated in today’s demonstration.
AAP had announced a big demonstration on the issue of Chandigarh Mayor elections and a
message was given to the workers of Delhi and surrounding states to participate in this
demonstration. Today itself i.e. on 2nd February, ED sent the fifth notice and called Arvind
Kejriwal to the ED office, but Arvind Kejriwal did not go to the ED office even today and called
this notice of ED as illegal like the previous four notices.
Addressing AAP workers, Arvind Kejriwal said:
“Out of total 36 votes, 20 were from India Alliance and 16 were from BJP, BJP workers were made voting officers. He first got the voting done, then chased the election agent out and did the counting himself and canceled 8 votes of India Block, wrote wrongly in these votes and declared them invalid ” – Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal said, “BJP made its worker the presiding officer in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, BJP has stolen votes in the Chandigarh Mayor elections, the pot of BJP’s volunteer is now full, the
Chandigarh Mayor election was very small, the Lok Sabha How far can they go in elections, when immorality increase, then God moves his broom, nature moves its broom, this time BJP’s theft
has been caught on camera in Chandigarh elections, we are playing with the country no matter what. Don’t let the price go down. You press someone’s button inside the machine, but the vote goes to someone else, that person’s name gets deleted from the voter list.
Meanwhile, many AAP MLAs and councilors were arrested by Delhi Police and many MLAs were also put under alleged house arrest. AAP’s national spokesperson and Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, while posting on X, accused the Delhi Police of stopping the bus of AAP workers.

On the other hand, BJP also demonstrated against Arvind Kejriwal today and demanded the
resignation of Arvind Kejriwal on the allegations of corruption against the Delhi government.
