Will Chinese people's dream come true? Will they be able to make Taiwan an integral part of China? What do the results of 2024 Taiwanese General Election indicate?

But if we compare these results with the previous elections, the party will definitely not be satisfied with it. While in the last election it had a vote share of 57.13 percent with a total of 81,70,231 votes, in this election the party had to suffer a huge loss. The party may have won the elections but from the results it seems that the credibility of DPP is decreasing. Is this the effect of China’s growing influence? It seems that the people of Taiwan did not accept his anti-China election campaign propaganda.

Taiwan’s oldest party KUMINTANG (KTM) was in second place. He got a total of 46,62,386 votes and got 33.48 percent of the total votes in his account. KTM also seems to be losing its base in this election. The situation of Taiwan’s more than a century old party is not as bad as that of the current government in this election, but the figures will definitely give sleepless nights to the leaders of KTM.
KTM had a share of 38.60 percent in the 2020 Parliament elections with a total of 55,22,119 votes.

The newest party of Taiwan country, which raced to the third position, was TAIWAN PEOPLE’S PARTY (TPP), which won 36,83,512 votes and 26.45 percent share. The performance of TPP was much better than the previous Parliament elections. This is the second election of TPP, in its first election of 2020, TPP was able to take only 11.22 percent votes with a total of 15,88,806 votes. His performance is encouraging for the party. TPP chief KO WEN JE’s closeness to Mainland China is a testimony to his old history. At a glance, it seems that China is increasing its influence in Taiwan’s politics and parliament through TPP. The way the party elections were fun, now it remains to be seen whether the presidential election will also be filled with the same roller coaster thrill. But seeing the weakening of the current government, the countries and leaders in the world who have anti-China ideology must have felt a wrinkle on their forehead.
Xi Jinping had shown a dream to the people of China that very soon there would be a Chinese flag on Taiwan too. The dream has not been fulfilled yet but the fruits of their efforts are definitely visible. Now everyone’s eyes will be on how Madam President will perform in the Presidential elections. As we are writing this story, the results of the presidential election have not been declared.
